A Collaborative Research Initiative by MySakinah and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

Ara Damansara, Selangor – June 21, 2022 – In an increasingly challenging world, family harmony can sometimes be hard to maintain. Addressing this issue, MySakinah, in a noteworthy collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, is launching a pioneering project.

The research project, aptly titled ‘Developing a Quran and Sunnah-Based Household Conflict Resolution Module,’ was initiated on June 1, 2022, and is set to culminate on the end of December 2023. The project aims to develop practical, spirituality-based tools to aid families in managing and resolving conflicts.

On June 21, 2022, representatives from both MySakinah and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia convened at Common Ground, Citta Mall, Ara Damansara, to discuss the project’s path forward and formalize their collaboration through an MOA signing.

The innovative project seeks to merge wisdom from two key sources of Islamic teachings, the Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah, with modern conflict resolution techniques. It aims to equip families with spiritually guided and practically effective strategies for conflict resolution.

MySakinah is steadfast in its commitment to enhance family well-being by offering research methods to mitigate disagreements and conflicts. We are confident that this research project will make a significant contribution towards achieving this goal. Detailed information about the project, including its timeline and specific study areas, is available in the project’s comprehensive report.

We are excited about sharing updates on this groundbreaking project and continue to remain dedicated to our mission of fostering peaceful, understanding, and unified homes.
